Is your link domain on a block list?

Ad blockers and DNS filters block a lot of deep link domains, often without the app's team knowing. Check yours, its parent domains and where its CNAME points.

What this checks

  • The domain and each parent domain, because a rule for example.com also blocks go.example.com.
  • Each hostname in its CNAME chain (up to five hops). Branded link domains usually CNAME to the vendor, and lists follow that.
  • Domain rules in EasyPrivacy and AdGuard Tracking Protection, and AdGuard's lists of CNAME-cloaked trackers and clickthrough domains. The lists are downloaded once a day.

Questions

Why would a deep link domain be on a block list?
Many deep linking vendors are also attribution platforms. Their link domains and SDK endpoints track clicks and installs for advertising, so privacy lists block them, and they often block customers' branded link domains too, by following the CNAME record to the vendor.
What's the difference between page, requests and DNS?
A page rule makes uBlock Origin or AdGuard block the link itself. A requests rule only blocks scripts, images or third-party calls to the domain, which can break the vendor's SDK or tracking but not the tap. A DNS hit means DNS blockers like AdGuard Home, Pi-hole or NextDNS stop the domain resolving, so nothing on it loads.
Not listed today: does that mean it can't be blocked?
No. It means none of these lists has a rule for it today. Lists change daily, and some people use other lists or their own rules.
Is DeepLinkNow on these lists?
Not as of October 2026. DeepLinkNow's link pages load no tracking or advertising scripts and it isn't an attribution platform, so there's nothing for these lists to block. Check any DeepLinkNow link domain here to see for yourself.

Deep links that ad blockers leave alone

DeepLinkNow does deep linking only, with no tracking scripts on the link page, so there's nothing for a block list to catch. Free up to the plan's MAU, no card.
