Compare · App platform with an AppLink deep linking module

DeepLinkNow vs AppsOnAir

AppsOnAir sells CodePush, app distribution and push, and AppLink is its deep linking module. It has a real Firebase importer that reads Google Takeout exports. There's no AppLink on the free plan, and the custom domain is an add-on.

Where DeepLinkNow is ahead

  • A free plan up to 25,000 monthly active users, with deferred deep links and no card.
  • Published prices: $0, $49 or $149 a month. You only talk to me if you want Enterprise.
  • Your own domain from $49 a month on Startup, set up in the dashboard.
  • Every fingerprint match comes back with a 0 to 100 score and a HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW label, so you decide what to trust.
  • Any path on your link domain is already a link, with no prefix and nothing to create first.

Pick AppsOnAir if…

  • You're leaving Firebase with a large Takeout export and want it imported.
  • You already use AppsOnAir for CodePush or push and want one vendor.

If deep links are all you need, you don't need the bundle around them.

The pricing math

AppsOnAir prices AppLink as a module on a base plan, and the custom domain is billed on top: Pro with AppLink (50,000 app links) and a custom domain comes to $54.97 a month.[1]

One app with deep links on its own domain: $54.97 a month on AppsOnAir, and $49 on DeepLinkNow. Below 25,000 monthly users DeepLinkNow is free, deferred deep links included, while AppsOnAir has no AppLink on its free plan.

Switching from AppsOnAir

  1. 1Add the DLN SDK next to the one you have and ship it.
  2. 2Point your link domain at DLN. Paths on it work straight away.
  3. 3Read the link with checkDeferredDeepLink() on first launch.
  4. 4Remove the AppsOnAir SDK once the links you've already shared stop getting clicks.
Run both side by side while you switch. My SDK doesn't care what else is in your app.
