DeepLinkNow vs LinkTrace

LinkTrace is a REST API for install attribution and referral links, with no SDK to add. It says it's privacy-first. It matches by fingerprint only, and Universal Links and App Links are on its top plan.

Side by side

As of October 21, 2026.

Free plan
DeepLinkNow: Free up to 25,000 monthly active users, deferred deep links included. No card.
LinkTrace: 100 links and 1,000 attributed installs, once. Paid plans refresh monthly.[1]
Paid plans
DeepLinkNow: $0, $49 or $149 a month, published, billed monthly. Enterprise from $500 a month
LinkTrace: Growth $9.99/mo (1,000 links, 10,000 installs), Scale $29.99/mo (unlimited)[1]
Plan with a custom domain
DeepLinkNow: $49/mo (Startup)
LinkTrace: Not offered. Its top plan, Scale ($29.99/mo), puts Universal Links on a yourbrand.linktrace.in subdomain.[1][2]
Universal Links and App Links
DeepLinkNow: Every plan, on yourapp.deeplinknow.com or your own domain
LinkTrace: Scale only, on a yourbrand.linktrace.in subdomain[1][2]
Deferred matching
DeepLinkNow: The link page copies the link before the App Store, and the SDK reads it on first launch. A scored match is the backup.
LinkTrace: Fingerprint only, for 24 hours. No install referrer. The result is attributed true or false.[2]
SDK
DeepLinkNow: iOS, Android, React Native (with Expo) and a Flutter SDK (pub.dev `deeplinknow`)
LinkTrace: None. A REST API with copy-paste examples.[3]
Advertising IDs
DeepLinkNow: Never read. No ATT prompt.
LinkTrace: Not used[2]

Where DeepLinkNow is ahead

  • iOS clipboard handoff on every plan: the link page copies the link and the SDK reads it on first launch.
  • Native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) SDKs, a Flutter SDK (pub.dev `deeplinknow`), a React Native SDK with an Expo config plugin, an Expo Router helper and a useDeferredDeepLink() hook, and an MCP server so coding agents can set it up.
  • A free plan up to 25,000 monthly active users, with deferred deep links and no card.
  • Every fingerprint match comes back with a 0 to 100 score and a HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW label, so you decide what to trust.
  • Any path on your link domain is already a link, with no prefix and nothing to create first.
  • Hosted in Sydney (Vercel syd1, database in AWS ap-southeast-2), if that matters to your users or your lawyers.

Pick LinkTrace if…

  • You don't want an SDK in the app, and fingerprint matching alone is enough.
  • You want referral tracking with referrer IDs over a REST API.

The pricing math

LinkTrace bills flat per plan on links and attributed installs: $9.99 for 10,000 installs a month, $29.99 unlimited. I bill on monthly active users.[1]

LinkTrace has no plan with your own domain: Universal Links and App Links need Scale, and even there they run on yourbrand.linktrace.in. On DeepLinkNow, Universal Links work on yourapp.deeplinknow.com on every plan, and your own domain is $49 on Startup. An app with 20,000 monthly users is free, with no one-time cap on installs.

Switching from LinkTrace

  1. 1Add the DLN SDK next to the one you have and ship it.
  2. 2Point your link domain at DLN. Paths on it work straight away.
  3. 3Read the link with checkDeferredDeepLink() on first launch.
  4. 4Remove the LinkTrace SDK once the links you've already shared stop getting clicks.
Run both side by side while you switch. My SDK doesn't care what else is in your app.

Questions

How does LinkTrace's pricing compare with DeepLinkNow's?
LinkTrace bills flat per plan on links and attributed installs: $9.99 for 10,000 installs a month, $29.99 unlimited. I bill on monthly active users. LinkTrace has no plan with your own domain: Universal Links and App Links need Scale, and even there they run on yourbrand.linktrace.in. When is LinkTrace the better choice?
You don't want an SDK in the app, and fingerprint matching alone is enough. You want referral tracking with referrer IDs over a REST API.
Can I run DeepLinkNow next to LinkTrace?
Yes. The SDK doesn't depend on any other deep linking SDK, so you can ship both, move your link domain over, and remove the old one later.
